When do you need a Physiotherapist?

When you injure a muscle, joint, tendon or ligament causing pain, stiffness or restricted movement, your doctor will most likely recommend a good Physiotherapist. After surgery or hospitalisation, physio’s are experts at rehabilitation and helping you get back to full health. Physio’s are trained to assess, diagnose, treat and help prevent a broad range of health conditions and movement disorders.

General practitioners refer more patients to physiotherapy than any other healthcare profession. That being said, you do not require a doctors referral to see a physiotherapist. Simply book an appointment online or call and make an appointment that is suitable for you.

What happens when you get treatment?

Your first appointment will be a longer appointment allowing your physio to understand your injury history, assess your condition and make an accurate diagnosis. At this point your practitioner will suggest some suitable treatment options and make some recommendations. Treatment of most musculoskeletal injuries or aggravations will generally require 3-6 visits, more if the condition is severe.

Your treatment could involve a combination of soft tissue techniques, manual therapy, lifestyle advice, therapeutic cold laser, homes exercises,  education and electro-physical modalities.

Why you should choose Tyack Health Physiotherapy?

Our practitioners are both holistic (focused on your whole body, not just your symptoms) and integrated (they work as a team where advantageous) in their treatment approach. Your physiotherapist works alongside chiropractic, podiatry, acupuncture and remedial massage and often co-treat to improve outcomes, at no extra cost to you.

Utilising assessment and treatment techniques derived from latest research your physio is committed to providing the most suitable and effective treatment for your condition.

Our physiotherapy team are members of the Australian Physiotherapy Association, Musculo-skeletal Physiotherapy Australia and Sports Physiotherapy Australia.
